Good free software for windows?

Free software, the eternal debate. We dream of being able to type a letter, surf the net, create graphics, program a bit, etc without having to pay a penny for the programs. We all know this is more than possible with Linux, and although I'm very fond of this OS and use it on a daily basis for lots of things, there's always the question if there's similar free software to do such things under Windows.

Well, luckily there is, so basically all you'd need to do is buy the Operating System (Win9x, NT or XP) and grab these programs:

3D MODELING AND RENDERING:
Blender 3d
Wings 3d
Yafray
IMAGE EDITING:
The Gimp
Paint.net

AUDIO EDITING:
Audacity

OFFICE SUITE (Compatible with MS' Office):
Openoffice

PROGRAMMING:(GCC compilers, free MSVC compiler, IDEs)DevC++
MsVC Toolkit 2003
Scintilla Text editor
Codeblocks
Relo C++ IDE

REALTIME 3D ENGINES:
Irrlicht
IrrlichtNX
Ogre
CrystalSpace

WEB BROWSER - EMAIL CLIENT
Firefox
Thunderbird

Best thing is that most of this software comes from-runs in linux! So if you also got a Linux install you can try your stuff on both and compare!!!

Any new stuff I remember will be added.

Thoughts in 3d opened!!!

Welcome to this space in which I'll be talking about the things I like to do. Mainly it will deal with 3d-related stuff in any of its fields: Software, modeling, rendering, architecture, realtime engines, etc.

Little by little I'll start organizing my ideas and posting my thoughts in 3d.
