Gile[s] kicks major butt!

Hi guys.

I just purchased my copy of the global ilumination software called Gile[s] and I must say it's the best 50 bucks I've spent lately!

It's capabilities surpass anything I had seen in a lughtmapping software; it imports all major 3d formats seamlessly and works quite fast; and using Zdimitor's "my3d" format exporter you can get your level into the Irrlicht engine in no time!
Example

a must for any 3d enthusiast or game developer!

for more info on Gile[s] visit their site:

for info on Zdimitor's My3d format:

check the project in the Irrlicht forums:

have fun!

Irrlicht's new site design

Some days ago Niko redesigned the look n' feel of the site. The result was a very pleasant to the eye webpage, easy to read and find stuff, organized and pro.
And although everything was completely reorganized, none of the valuable info got lost or mixed up!!!

It was nice to see that the 2 screenshots I had for SOTM were still there (back in my productive days--check previous post, hehehe ).

monotonous is monotonous

Dunno why every such amount of time our mind seems to fall into a state of pause and stops being creative, or it simply creates at an amazingly slower speed. Perhaps I'm just focusing on the kind of things I like to do on my spare time. It seems like our brains get squeezed on a daily basis trying to get real-life work done leaving us a tired and numb state of conscience.

I'm not saying I don't like my daily job, I just guess the things we do everyday (whatever they are) finally end up becoming monotonous. I just wish we could make a living out of the other stuff we like to do.

Hopefully, once this phase is broken a ray of light comes and energizes everything taking us into the next leap of creation.
